This rare, 100% highland grown, bourbon arabica coffee comes from one of the most amazing growing regions in Rwanda, at over 2,000 meters above sea level, in the area of Nyamashekeon, southwest of Lake Kivu. Balanced yet complex, the cup is layered with a sticky sweetness like honey and figs and a comforting, warm spice of cinnamon.
Kanzu is the washing station where the individual coffee smallholdings send their crops for processing. This coffee is optimally roasted to medium to allow for all the volatile aromatics from the terroir to shine. It is best enjoyed as a french press as an afternoon coffee break.
